Megan Werner, LAT, ATC, ITAT, NASM-CES
Sports Medicine Coordinator
Megan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 2010, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. After graduation, she was the athletic trainer at Oregon High School. Megan joined Advanced PT in 2013 and became the athletic trainer at Hortonville High School. She now serves as an onsite provider for Advanced PT’s Industrial & Tactical Medicine wing while continuing her role as Sports Medicine Coordinator, overseeing athletic training services for community and youth sporting events. Her professional interests include injury prevention, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and working with athletes of all ages. Additionally, Megan is trained in cupping therapy, early intervention, and job site analysis, is an ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer, and holds a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification through NASM.
Growing up on a dairy farm near Houston, MN, Megan developed a love for the outdoors and being physically active. She was a 3-sport athlete in high school and played ice hockey while at UW-La Crosse. In her free time, Megan enjoys cooking, hiking with her husband and golden retriever, and traveling, especially to our country’s National Parks.

Nevada Watson, MS, LAT, ATC
Lawrence University - Head Athletic Trainer
Nevada earned a Bachelor of Science degree from George Mason University in 2013 and a Master of Science Degree from the University of South Florida in 2016. She has experience in various settings including high school, Division II, and Division III collegiate and clinic settings.
Her professional interests include athlete & athletic trainer mental wellness, soft-tissue mobilization, injury rehabilitation and educating and mentoring athletic training students.
Outside of work, Nevada enjoys road cycling, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her spouse and two dogs.

Katie “Kit” Kittleson, MA, LAT, ATC
Lawrence University - Associate Athletic Trainer
Katie graduated from UW – La Crosse in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and then went on to the University of Nebraska – Omaha in 2011 to obtain her master’s degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. She has had many opportunities to work with a wide range of sports including arena football, FXFL league, US Olympic figure skating, roller derbies and hockey of all ages.
Katie’s professional interests include manual therapy, strength and conditioning, and equipment intensive sports.
When she isn’t working, Katie enjoys spending her free time outdoors, being active, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family and dog.

Marc Viergutz, MS, LAT, ATC, GTS, PES
Lawrence University - Associate Athletic Trainer
Marc graduated from Grand Canyon University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He went on to get his Masters in Athletic Training from the University of South Florida in 2019.
He is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, but grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Marc played baseball mostly growing up and now plays golf casually. His professional interests include injury prevention, recovery, mobility, and keeping his athletes out on the field doing what they love to do!
In his free time, he likes to play video games, watch sports, and spend time at his family's waterfront property in Minocqua.

Emily Rigden, MS, LAT, ATC
Lawrence University - Associate Athletic Trainer
Emily graduated from Ripon College in 2022 with her Bachelor of Arts where she double majored in Exercise Science Athletic Training and Exercise Science Human Performance. Emily earned a Masters of Science in Athletic Training Degree from Xavier University in 2024.
During her education she was able to learn from different clinical experiences ranging from the high school setting to the professional setting. Her favorite setting has been working with college athletes. Her professional interests include injury prevention, and injury rehabilitation. She is also interested in research and providing evidence based practice. She has been able to complete a few research projects including one on the H:Q ratio in older adults, and traction therapy for low back pain.
In her free time, Emily enjoys the outdoors, working out, spending time with friends and family, and playing soccer.
