What is a Concussion?
Definition: A concussion is a ‘trauma-induced alteration in mental status that may or may not involve loss of consciousness.’
This can be caused by anything that causes the head and brain to move quickly back and forth (i.e. bump, fall, direct hit, automobile accident, etc.) Concussions may be noticed immediately or not until several days after the injury.
