What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a nonsurgical, highly interactive treatment for injury or condition. A physical therapist can educate you about your problem so that you have the tools to help yourself return to your daily activities as quickly as possible.
An evaluation determines the therapist’s approach to solving your condition. The treatment technique and number of sessions will depend on your diagnosis. Unless you have Medicare, a Medicare Replacement plan or Medicaid, you do not need a doctor's referral to see a physical therapist.
Treatment sessions last 30-60 minutes, depending on the needs and goals of that visit.
Based on the plan you and your physical therapist develop, you may receive hands-on manual therapy techniques, mobilizations and manipulations, movement and posture education, strengthening exercises, home exercises, and other modalities.
We offer specialty services and programs such as Cancer Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, Pelvic Health services, Cardiac Therapy, Custom Orthotics, Cupping, Trigger Point Dry Needling, and more.
